Network Partner Program

The American Forest Foundation (AFF) invites submission of proposals for a renewable 2-year Network Partner Program grant to implement outreach and engagement projects targeting non-industrial private forest landowners in defined sub-watersheds in Colorado, Utah, or New Mexico. These projects will prioritize outreach to now-unengaged landowner populations at a scale commensurate with the conservation challenge, adopt social marketing best practices, and reflect strategies that provide interested landowners with a range of services over time, including but not limited to technical and/or financial assistance, that empower those landowners to restore fire resiliency to their property and in so doing demonstrably safeguard water quality.

SFA WUI Pre-Proposals

The Fort Collins District CSFS is seeking pre-proposals for the FY 2018 Western Wildland Urban Interface Grant Program (State Fire Assistance WUI Grant). Federal Funds to mitigate risk from wildland fire within the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) are awarded through a competitive process, with emphasis on hazard fuel reduction in the WUI. Funding, with a standard 50:50 match, is delivered through and managed by the CSFS. This announcement is to solicit pre-proposal applications from which the CSFS will select projects for full proposal development.

Linked to this message are documents needed to complete the pre-proposal, as well as examples of past successful projects. The Pre-proposal template includes further background information and thorough instruction on completing the paperwork. These grant proposals should be for specific projects not merely concepts. A map of the project area in PDF format is also required.

If you wish to submit a pre-proposal for this grant, please send electronic copies of the completed SFA WUI Pre-Proposal Template (Boxes 1-11), Excel Budget Worksheet and a PDF map of the project area to me (Zachary.mellema@colostate.edu) no later than May 4, 2017.
